Abuja, Nigeria -The Hon. Min. of Agriculture and Food Security, @SenatorAKyari, presided over the signing of a contract between the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) and AGCOMS International Trading Limited to procure 2,000 John Deere tractors for farmers before the beginning of the 2025 wet season farming. The Executive Secretary/CEO of the Fund, Mohammed Abu Ibrahim, disclosed that the NADF has been mandated, through a Presidential directive, to spearhead the deployment of 10,000 John Deere tractors across Nigeria, with an initial rollout of 2,000 units and scaling up to 10,000 over the next five years. While commending the leadership of NADF, Sen. Kyari said this is one of the four mechanization projects of the Federal Government under the leadership of @officialABAT aimed at improving Nigeria's food security.
